The role
We are seeking a committed and experienced medical educator who share our values to join our NSW/ACT Practice Experience Program (PEP) medical education team.
Reporting to the Director of PEP, the medical educator with a PEP portfolio area will undertake clinical assessment of PEP participants, plan and execute educational activities, monitor participant progress and participate in planning the progression of the program.
The role also involves all other Medical Educator responsibilities, which may include: the development and delivery of education activities, assessment of participant performance, supervisor development and support, participant training support and guidance, as well as other training related activities.
We are seeking a GP with Fellowship of either the RACGP or ACRRM with experience and an interest in medical education and PEP. Becoming involved in general practice medical education provides the opportunity to develop the future health workforce, enabling succession planning through the provision of well trained and highly skilled general practitioners.
Hours and time commitment for this position are negotiable. Some travel is required.
Selection criteria
To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential applicants meet the following criteria together with the requirements as outlined in the Medical Educator position description grade 1 - 4:
- Fellowship of either the RACGP or ACRRM
- Current vocational registration
- Experience in medical education
- Unrestricted motor vehicle licence (own transport is preferred)
