The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced General Practitioner (GP) to join our medical practice in Tuggeranong, ACT.

Established in 1996 as Tuggeranong Family Medical Practice, Ochre Medical Centre Tuggeranong has built a strong reputation in the local community for family-oriented service and quality patient care.

It provides a wide range of medical services, including general medical assessments, immunisations, skin cancer checks and procedures, women’s health and pregnancy care, chronic disease management, acupuncture, pathology and other services provided by visiting practitioners.

The Location

Located to Canberra’s south and to the east of the Murrumbidgee River, Tuggeranong is a picturesque suburban region renown for being family friendly and accessible, with easy travel to the Canberra CBD via the Monaro Highway.

The suburbs within the greater Tuggeranong district are nestled on the shores of lake Tuggeranong, a man-made lake ringed by great parklands, community facilities and walking tracks, and the lake itself provides residents with a popular and convenient location for watersports of all kinds. The district is also close to the pastoral scenery of southern ACT, with several historic estates in the area including the Tuggeranong homestead – a popular location for weddings, events, and the home of the Tuggeranong Homestead markets.

The practice itself is centrally located in the Hyperdome shopping precinct and adjacent to the lakeside parklands. It’s easily accessible from the Tuggeranong Bus Interchange and taxi ranks, with ample parking available.

Requirements

• Vocationally Registered
