At Taupo Hospital you will be part of a small functional and supportive team working in a dynamic Rural Hospital environment. The job will see you working across the 10-15 bed inpatient unit, in the vibrant emergency department and in an outpatient follow up clinic. Taupo Hospital is transforming in to the ‘Dunstan of the North’ and we want you and your vision to be a part of our journey.

If the ever changing clinical work isn’t enough to entice you then the weekly waiata certainly will. Taupo Hospital has recently been refurbished and upgraded to a modern and contemporary rural hospital.

Applicants must hold or be within 3 months of obtaining their Rural Hospital Medicine qualification and hold or be eligible for Specialist (Vocational) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

The above position comes with an attractive relocation remuneration package and CME allowance for successful long term and permanent appointments.
