General Practitioner - South Barwon Medical Centre - Private Billing - FT/PT

South Barwon Medical Centre seeking Vocationally Registered General Practitioners – Belmont, Full time or Part-time. Locum also available.

• Ideally located practice, close to Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine Peninsula
• 45 minute direct commute from the Western suburbs of Melbourne
• Be supported by our amazing reception and nursing teams, in our well-equipped and well-positioned family practice
• Long established, private billing practice with Allied Health practitioners on-site

Our South Barwon Medical Centre is located in the thriving suburb of Belmont, just 10 minutes’ drive from the Geelong CBD. With easy access to the stunning beaches of the Surf Coast, the urban heart of Geelong, and a wide range of excellent educational facilities and accommodation options, Belmont is also only a direct 45-minute commute from the Western suburbs of Melbourne.  South Barwon Medical Centre has provided quality medical care to the local community for over forty years and is committed to ensuring patients are treated in a professional and caring manner.

We currently have an opportunity for a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner to join our practice, with the flexibility to work full time or part time.  Our team of General Practitioners, nurses and reception staff are committed to personal, holistic healthcare, and placing importance on preventative medicine.  GMHBA and our General Practitioners are strong advocates of evidence-based, patient-centred integrated care and are strongly committed to continuing medical education.

We are seeking GP’s who share this philosophy, while valuing the security of a well-established private billing medical practice.  Our practice provides patient access to on-site comprehensive medical and allied health services, Pathology as well as Practice Nurses to assist with procedures, immunisations, chronic disease management, and home-based Health Assessments

Our general hours of operation are open Monday to Friday 8:30am – 6:00pm, and Saturday 8:30am – 11:30pm.  We offer competitive remuneration, with 65% of billings on most services.  Relocation support is negotiable for the right candidate.
