General Practice Plus’ mission is to create a workplace that enables great GPs and health professionals to do their best work and be valued for it, with lifelong patient care at the forefront.  General Practice Plus has 6 sites all within 15 minutes of Hobart, and is owned by Tasmanian doctors that all work within the business.

We have a patient base of over 66,000 patients and offer services across the sites such as skin checks, travel medicine, chronic disease management and dive medicals.  Each site is supported by a team of excellent reception staff and nursing staff.

An exciting and rare opportunity exists to join our team of medical practitioners. 

Our medical practitioners are all independent contractors who practice autonomously while being supported by our Clinical Governance Committee, a group of representative GP’s from our sites that ensure best practice Clinical Governance is maintained throughout our clinics.  The team of doctors at General Practice meet on a regular basis, provide peer to peer support and have scheduled education evenings.

The structure of our management team ensures we coordinate the day to day function of the practice including diary management, administrative tasks, results and reminders and IT support allowing our GPs to focus on patient care.
