Location

Nestled in the foothills of Mt Wellington/kunanyi, on the bank of the Derwent river, Tasmania’s capital city of Hobart is a picturesque and vibrant cultural hub. With a population of just over 200,000, the city has seen a huge surge in popularity in recent years due to an influx of people looking for a place to live that supports a better lifestyle.

With its proximity to stunning mountains, rainforests and beaches, Hobart ticks all the boxes for those who enjoy the outdoors. It also provides for gourmands and culture lovers, with the world famous Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), festivals such as Dark Mofo, and the popular artisanal Salamanca Markets, to name just a few standouts from a year round cultural calendar.

The North Hobart strip is one of Hobart’s most iconic quarters. Hobart’s main restaurant district, this vibrant length of Elizabeth Street is one of Hobart’s busiest metropolitan areas, with a superb offering of cafes, restaurants, takeaways and pubs.
