Principal Medical Officers lead Clinical Evaluation Units and are the delegated decision makers for evaluation of applications for registration of particular groups of medicines. One of our Principal Medical Officer positions leads the Signal Investigation Unit which monitors, investigates and responds to new safety issues that arise with medicines and vaccines.
These are key leadership roles, leading a team of professional medical and scientific staff and working more broadly to support the Therapeutic Goods Administration and the wider Department of Health.
Applications are sought from candidates with a degree in medicine and relevant clinical experience to fill several Medical Officer roles.
Salary Range: $207,827 - $238,135 plus Executive Vehicle Allowance, professional development allowance and Superannuation
