The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced General Practitioner to be Lead GP/Medical Coordinator at our bustling practice in Lancefield, Victoria.

Ochre Lancefield Country Practice is a mixed billing practice offering a wide range of services including general family medical care, ante-natal checks, immunisations, emergency care, patient stabilisation prior to transfer, and the development of care plans for chronic or complex issues. You will have full access to our nursing team while working alongside an experienced Practice Manager and administration team who will manage your appointments and ensure your days run smoothly.

As the Lead GP, you will bring to the Medical Centre clinical leadership, a collaborative approach, a proactive attitude, and the ability to build and develop a strong team culture.

The Location

Responsibilities

• Senior clinical leadership and ownership of clinical governance
• Clinical audits and ensuring the overall quality of healthcare in the practice
• Patient care – leading by example in supporting preventative health initiatives, CDM and health innovations
• Playing a key role in the induction of new doctors
• Mentoring and supervising registrars and medical students
• Delivering better health outcomes for the community

Requirements

• Specialist Registration with AHPRA or have VR status
• Ideally experience as a Senior/Lead GP
