Keith & District Medical Centre is seeking to recruit a full time GP to provide medical services to the medical practice and adjoining Keith & District Hospital. The successful applicant will have excellent rural emergency medicine skills, and recent general practice experience, ideally with Fellowship from either the RACGP or ACRRM. Excellent remuneration, including on-call, will be provided to the right applicant.

Keith & District Medical Centre is a community owned, not for profit facility that provides excellent health services for the Keith community and surrounding districts. The practice is co-located within the Keith & District Hospital, which is staffed by ALS trained Registered Nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The GP will be supported by a Practice Manager, Practice Nurse, Receptionists, and a chronic disease management nurse specialist. Allied health professionals and specialists visit the local community, including a speech pathologist, physiotherapist, dietitians, cardiologist, orthodontist, urologist, psychiatrist, dermatologist and general surgeon.

Keith is centrally located in the Limestone Coast Region of South Australia, 225 km from Adelaide. The population of Keith is approximately 1300, with 20% of the population over 65 years old. A diverse agricultural township, Keith boasts large crops of Lucerne. Sheep, beef cattle, and grain farming are other primary products of the region. There are many social and sporting events throughout the year and a local gym.
