Mid Eyre Medical is seeking an experienced GP to work in a team-based model of general practice servicing rural communities on the beautiful Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The position is full-time, and the GP will participate in a one in four emergency roster, based in the town of Kimba. Attractive remuneration will be available to the successful applicant.

Mid Eyre Medical delivers an innovative model of general practice, providing diverse patient centred primary health care and hospital-based services to the communities of Cleve, Kimba, Cowell and Elliston.

The GPs are supported by a team including administration, practice nurse positions and a full-time practice manager. Mid Eyre Medical provide primary and emergency health care to more than 3,000 people. The communities are located from the north-east to the west coast of the Eyre Peninsula and are all within 2.5 hours drive of each other. Industry within the communities includes broad acre farming and aquaculture.  The region is most famously known as one of the most picturesque and finest fishing areas in Australia.

There is a local Hospital in each of the communities, providing accident and emergency, acute, palliative, aged care, radiography and pathology services. Multiple visiting Specialists also frequent the area including a Surgeon, Cardiologist, Paediatrician and various allied health professionals.
