• GP owned Bulk Billing Practice with excellent nursing and administrative support and onsite pharmacy and pathology.  Doctors can walk into full patient load.

Position Description

An experienced General Practitioner is required to join The Cairns 24 Hour Medical Centre. 

• Rare Replacement DWS position available for the right candidate
• Full time, part time, or after-hours positions available.
• Great earning capacity with remuneration percentage based. 
• Happy to discuss start up accommodation if required to help you settle in the area. 
• Doctor will have a full patient load to start.

Practice details

The Cairns 24 Hour Medical Centre, open 7 days a week 365 days a year, is a well-established accredited Medical Practice with a large patient base which also supports the after-hours requirements for other local General Practices in the area. The practice is conveniently located in the city centre, close to both the Cairns Base and Cairns Private Hospitals. Cairns is a popular tourist destination and there is a high walk in demographic as well as regular and appointed patients.

This busy General Practice sees approximately 3,000 patients every week and experiences a large variety of medicine – urgent treatment, minor procedures, tropical medicine, skin checks, family, men’s and women’s health, WorkCover, Dive and Pre-Employment Medicals. There are eight Practice Nurses offering nurse-led clinics with chronic disease and cervical screening support for the doctors, as well as a great team of reception and administration staff. All your administration needs are met - everything being taken care of, all equipment supplied, right down to your stethoscope.
