New Town Health is a fresh, dynamic AGPAL accredited, community owned (non-corporate) clinic located in greater Hobart, fully supported by TasCAHRD, a not-for-profit organisation with nearly 40 years experience in health promotion and service provision.
The position
New Town Health are keen to welcome a full-time and/or part-time VR General Practitioner to our happy, flexible team. We aspire to be a provider of choice for the LBGTIQ+ community, and maintain a focus on blood borne virus and sexual health through our membership with ASHM, AFAO and Hepatitis Australia, and our involvement in research through the Burnet and Kirby Institutes.
We are keen to hear about your specialist interests and how we can support you to achieve your career goals.
The organisation
New Town Health is an initiative of the Tasmanian Council on AIDS, Hepatitis and Related Diseases Inc. (TasCAHRD), a not-for-profit community organisation supported by the Tasmanian Government.
Formerly the New Town Central Medical Centre, New Town Health has recently undergone a physical and cultural makeover and is now a dynamic practice in the middle of the vibrant New Town strip with free parking and close to supermarkets, cafés and schools.
What’s on offer?
New Town Health is a mixed billing clinic offering excellent remuneration with flexibility to suit your lifestyle, and a choice of % or Salary, including NFP salary packaging provisions.
With flexible, fun working conditions and large light filled clinical rooms provisioned with new clinical tools and ICT infrastructure, we use Medical Director, Pracsoft and MS Office 365 and are fully supported by Techquity (formerly Hypertronics).
Our practice team and nursing staff have many years of experience in a clinical environment and are focussed on exceeding the expectations of our Medical Officers and service users alike.
If you’re interested, we also offer many opportunities to support federal and state government policy development and national research projects through our alignment with peak bodies, government agencies and research institutes.
