  • Do you consider yourself a bit of a Doctor Dundee?
  • Highly attractive remuneration package circa $400,000 incl. super, housing allowance & more!

Now we have your attention, we have a health care crisis in our nine Aboriginal communities which all are to the east of Katherine in the NT.

It is paradise, and the landscape is just like Kakadu but 38% of our Aboriginal people have one or more chronic diseases.

Doctor Dundee's Role

As a registered GP, your role will primarily be developing chronic care management, as well as supporting preventative health checks to reduce chronic disease in the region.

Sunrise Health is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that is well supported by specialist medical and allied health services. As a registered GP you already have the necessary skills to perform this role as acute care is undertaken by our highly trained nursing teams and through the District Medical Officer.

Reap the Rewards

You get to make a huge difference in our communities, but you are on the doorstep of an adventure/outdoors paradise with the best barra fishing in the territory and yes – lots of buffs – parts of Crocodile Dundee were filmed here.

You will be based in Katherine (home of the Katherine Gorge and 3 hours’ drive from Darwin) and traveling to remote communities via air and road.

Our remuneration package is $400,000 per annum with both flexible packaging and flexible (FIFO) working arrangements available.

By working with Sunrise Health, you will get to make a difference, make lifelong friendships with the Aboriginal community, be well rewarded and give full play to your adventurous spirit and do a little bit of your own version of Dundee! So, are you up for the experience?
