Merthyr 7 Day Medical Centre is a doctor owned medical practice located in Merthyr Village Shopping Centre.    The practice has been an important part of New Farm since 1995 and prides itself on continuity of care and a family atmosphere. 

With a range of special interest areas including travel medicine, mental health, men’s health, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, dermatology issues and chronic disease management our doctors have over 150 years of combined experience.

We are looking for a motivated and engaged GP to join our dedicated and friendly team. 

The Role:

The General Practitioner will:

• Get to know their patients and provide them with provide knowledgeable, supportive and ongoing care
• Provide quality clinical services in line with best practice standards
• Optimise referral pathways to specialist and allied health services 
• Liaise with Practice Nurses, nursing home staff, specialists and other providers to ensure seamless patient care
• Work closely with the Practice Manager and patient service team to anticipate and identify opportunities for expanding our services and improving practices

You will need

• Qualification in Medicine and/or Surgery with a current APHRA registration and unconditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Strong mix of clinical expertise, people and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to support a continuous improvement model
