General Practitioner Obstetrician (Senior Medical Officer) | Longreach (QLD)

Medical Services/Longreach, Central West Hospital and Health Service.

Comprising salary between $317,531 - $411,663 p.a.; (L24-L25); employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%); on-call allowance; overtime; recalls; 5 weeks annual leave p.a.; professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a.; accommodation and relocation assistance (conditions apply); salary packaging; employee assistance program; work/life balance, variety and flexibility; Permanent/Temporary Full Time/Part Time (hrs negotiable); Applications will remain current for 12 months.

Duties / Abilities:

Senior Medical Officer work without supervision in a multi-disciplinary team to promote healthy lifestyles, manage chronic disease and provide emergency and inpatient services. The successful candidate will be based in Longreach providing General Practice as well as Obstetric Care to the level of a DRANZCOG Advanced. Our doctors commit to patient safety, the ongoing development of clinical knowledge and skills, and the supervision and training of junior doctors and students.

Senior Medical Officers across the Central West Hospital and Health Service are managed as a group practice of around 20 doctors across the region and you will be required to contribute to the development of a cohesive and supportive team environment. At times you may be asked to provide short term relief to doctors at other facilities in the Central West Hospital and Health Service.
